The
Dapa Group members "Hall of Fame" is a gallery created to showcase
the work of our members, whose images have received recognition by
way of the group's "Merit Award" scheme. Merit awards are given out
by Dapa Group members to images they consider to be inspirational.
Any member can give out the award, but please ensure that the image
being awarded meets with the following award criteria.
-
-
Composition:
The use of line, texture and form, to create interest.
Composition should also include balance in relationship to form.
Content:
The element of content deals with the overall choice of subject matter;
it should be appropriate, timely, and well thought out.
-
Post
Processing:
The element of processing refers to the focus and clarity of the
image; colours or tones should be rendered accurate, exposed
correctly and be sharp. Any blurring of the image should be
intentional, not untimely.
-
-
Cropping/Framing:
The element of cropping means that the subject should be emphasised
to be the focal point of the composition, with unwanted objects or
borders deleted from the final image.

Finally:
To administer the award, simply copy and paste the following code to
the comment box of the recipient’s image. It would also be a good
idea to add the following tag:
dapagroupmeritaward. By tagging your
images in this way makes it easier to keep track on your awards and
the images, which have received them.
